Sure Step, Microsoft’s NAV implementation tool, was developed in large part from materials created by our predecessor company, Studebaker Technology. Training, Support and Change Management
Successful implementations depend on many different factors. One key success that is often overlooked is the importance of training and motivating staff to make the most of the new system. LGS provides custom training to make sure that employees are supported and encouraged to make the most of the new system. We’ll also train key users to perform routine administrative tasks, such as create new reports, so you can get the business intelligence you need without having to call us. Documentation
Documentation is often an afterthought. But if you invest a little of your budget now, you’ll save money later on. By documenting the customizations to your NAV system at the time of development, you’ll make it easier to make changes to the system later. Devoting a few hours to reference sheets, tutorials and other job aids can ensure that users will get up to speed quickly and eliminate time-wasting mistakes. Testing, feedback and optimization No project is complete without testing, user feedback and optimization. Testing verifies that the system is ready to go, and that inputs, processing and reports function they way they should. Feedback provides input for future improvements. In most cases, once the system goes live, users will have ideas for new features, reports, or interface enhancements. NAV’s c/side programming environment makes this reasonably easy to implement. Support As with any complex system, there are times when something just doesn’t work the way you expected. Whether it’s a bug in the system (it’s possible) or the need to implement a seldom-used feature, we can help you through it. Support is available on a contract or as needed basis.
